Launch of the First Video of CIRANO’s 2025-2026 Annual Theme: Education and Workforce

CIRANO has launched the first video of 2025-2026 annual theme: Education and Workforce: Towards a More Productive and Equitable Society.

In a context of profound social, economic, and technological change, education and workforce development are emerging as key levers to enhance productivity and reduce inequalities.

This first video introduces the main areas that will structure the annual thematic:

• Education and training

• Impacts of digital innovation and artificial intelligence

• Labour market

• Inequalities and poverty

The activities will be coordinated by Geneviève Dufour, Director of Major Collaborative Projects at CIRANO, with the involvement of CIRANO Principal Researchers:

• Benoit Dostie (HEC Montréal) and Fabian Lange (McGill University), theme Skills

• Raquel Fonseca (ESG UQAM) and Markus Poschke (McGill University), theme Inequalities and Poverty
