Fernando Saltiel has been a CIRANO Researcher since 2025. He is Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at McGill University and a Research Affiliate at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) as well as at the Department of Economics at Duke University. His research focuses on labor economics, applied econometrics, and the economics of education. His work has been published in The European Economic Review, Economics of Education, and Economic Inquiry.
