A Clear-Eyed Look at Quebec's Healthcare System

In a new video produced as part of the 2024-2025 theme year: Efficiency at the heart of the Quebec health care system, Roxane Borgès Da Silva (Université de Montréal), Carl-Ardy Dubois (Université de Montréal), Pierre-Carl Michaud (HEC Montréal), and Erin Strumpf (McGill University), main researchers in the Health theme and CIRANO Pole on the Efficiency of Health Services and Policies provide a clear and in-depth perspective on the major challenges facing the healthcare system.

Improving access to care and equality in access to care, putting people at the heart of the healthcare system, rebalancing treatment versus prevention, caring for people losing their autonomy and enabling them to age with dignity are some of the key topics that the researchers discuss in the video. They invite us to embrace a broad range of perspectives to drive meaningful transformation in the healthcare system.
